What Not To Wear: Halloween Edition

Happy Halloween my not-so-fashionable friends! I hope that you're having a safe and fantastic Halloween!
Everyone knows that one of the very best parts of Halloween is getting to dress-up! If it's not one of your favorite parts, then we probably shouldn't be friends... I'm just kidding! But I really do love dressing up! However, the only frustrating aspect of costumes is the following: people. Especially girls!

I don't know who vocalized the fact that lingerie and animal ears constitute a costume, but believe me, they don't! It's been said that Halloween is the only acceptable night of the year to dress-up like a stripper, but in reality, there is NO acceptable night of the year to dress-up like a stripper (unless you are an actual stripper)!

So, this Halloween, I beg of you to reconsider your costume if you are planning on being a "mouse" (example pictured below).

If you want to be taken seriously in life, you should try to dress with class.

The Hair Dilemma

Hello my fellow not-so-fashionable friends! I meant to post again on Fancy Friday, but I was unfortunately detained (a.k.a. I was catching up on some very much needed sleep!). However, I hope that you're having a glorious fall so far and plenty of fantastic Fancy Fridays!

However, I know that there are times when you are in desperate need of something fancy, but you are having "technical difficulties" with your hair. Luckily, there's a simple solution!

Wear a headpiece!

They are seriously some of the best accessories ever created! By wearing a distracting headpiece, the attention is drawn away from your hair and drawn to your headpiece.
This will make you feel less self-conscious about your hair and (best part!) while you're out and about in public, you'll receive compliments regarding your absolutely adorable headpiece, boosting your confidence as well!

Can it get any better than that? I should think not!

P.S. By distracting headpiece, I do not mean this:
I beg of you, please do not ever go out in public with this upon your head. EVER.

Good Examples:
Flower Wreaths

 Head Wraps

Bandanas

How To Turn A Summer Dress Into A Winter Outfit

Happy Fancy Friday my not-so-fashionable friends! Please accept my sincerest apologies for not posting in (Gasp!) over a month, but school has been kicking my butt (literally and figuratively)! However, it has yet to take my style from me!

Today, I'm addressing a matter that comes with every change of season: What will I wear now? You see, the majority of those who aren't renowned fashion icons and celebrities either have a surplus of fashionable winter pieces, or a surplus of fashionable summer pieces (I rarely come across anyone who has both; if that rare person is you, snaps from me to you!)

Thankfully, there is a rational way to remedy this unfortunate situation: leggings, scarves, sweaters, and boots! If you are anything like me and have an unfortunate addiction to the purchasing of cute, on-sale dresses, then they are most likely to be summer dresses, which poses the problem of what to do when summer ends. One does not simply return to pants for two seasons (never)!

Instead, you can utilize scarves, leggings, sweaters, and boots to solve your seasonal dilemma! By pairing these items with a summer dress, you are no longer forced to sacrifice warmth for fashion; you can have BOTH! Also, in the transition from fall to winter, one simply adds a coat!

Seasonal situation= solved!

P.S. I attached some examples below!
